life as a temporary 'teacher'?

This holiday i decided to make good use of my time. I chose to be a temporary kindergarten teacher. The main reason is I LIKE KIDS. But i'm not sure if i can handle a whole big bunch of them, and how it feels --- to be surrounded by kids everyday. Will i get bored??

What is your first impression of a kindergarten teacher? Well, most ppl might think that it's an easy job, teaching the kids the easiest things you'd ever known...whatever. But try it just for a day! And you'll know how it feels like. From my experience and advices from consultants, the most important thing is that you must have the LOVE for the kids. You have to ENJOY being with them, you need PATIENCE, you gotta be GENTLE and METICULOUS, you must have CONFIDENCE and be CREATIVE, and sometimes make yourself FEEL LIKE THEM.

These are my first badge of students. The six-year-olds. They're really adorable, though annoying at times. You won't believe that they're soooo smart and some have very matured thinking. Sometimes i was thinking, how can just a year's difference make it such a big gap between the six-year-olds and five-year-olds. But one thing in common, even for the little one-year-old, they hate it when you forgot their names! Yes, another important thing, you have to remember every single name and even their parents. It's even better if you're abit 'kepo' to know about their family background...hehe.

You can see straight away who they like and who they don't, especially teachers! For teachers, it's the same. You'll definitely have different levels of love. It's just that teachers had to hide them, and just be fair. As for me, i feel weird when they called me "teacher". So since the start, i had let myself be their friend. And didn't really act like a teacher? So they liked me. I was just like their big big sister, and their angel when the other teacher suddenly burst out and smacked them all. It's only a month or two i've been there, but they said they'd miss me. And i knew i did too.

The working hours are long, and it's tiring at the end of the day. It's worse in the morning when you have to wake up so early. It makes me think over and over again...whether or not i should continue to run along in this field. I don't think being a kindy teacher all my life would satisfy me, but open a kindy myself? I've never really thought that far yet...but i wished to be braver...especially this time, as i've made one of the BIGGEST decisions in my life.
Thinking of the positive sides:
1) Mrs. Sue said, "............"
2) Ms. Lo said, "............"
The above statements are my secrets. hehe. But i was so touched when they told me those.
3) It's my dream.
4) Feel young always. The kids can cheer you up.
5) My loved ones are raising their hands to give me support.
... ... (i dunno wat else, but i don't think i need much reasons.)

I just gotta give it a GO!
That'll be the real me :) That's what mama says...i'm just so stubborn. haha. 'coz it's me :p

Yes you are stubborn. But your stubborness is your passion for doing something you love. And with this passion, you'll go on to achieve something beautiful. i just know you will. =)
